Step away from everyday distractions and dive into the craft of music-making. Join Shane and Ashley of Dogwood Bloom at The Makery for an intimate, two-day songwriting retreat designed for artists, writers, and creatives of all skill levels.

Whether you have a pocket full of half-finished voice memos, a complete catalog you want to polish, or simply a curiosity about where songs come from, this weekend offers a relaxed, supportive environment to explore your voice, sharpen your toolkit, and create in good company.

What to Expect

  • Songwriting Collaborations: Break out into small, guided co-writing sessions to experiment with new perspectives and co-create in real time.

  • Song Sharing & Constructive Feedback: Share works-in-progress in a zero-pressure, encouraging listening environment.

  • Techniques & Practical Tools: Unpack melody construction, lyric framing, breaking through writer’s block, and harmonic arranging.
